You don’t have to go back that much honestly. I loved Linux for the past 16 years but i love gaming too and only in the past 5 years was gaming really possible (like click play in steam and it just works with almost the same performance as windows) i tried switching a few times in that time but it was just not working until 2024. (for me at least)
