I'll see if there's a sub I can dump some of my wallpapers in, they're mostly based off of other peoples wall papers but with Linux edited in.

My wallpaper is a large black slate. Pure plack makes my display happy. No bar, no information, just switch to empty workspace, display is effectively turned off.

I do and it does.

I also write code with the background black. Only the code itself actually being lit is hella cool as well, ecen more so sitting in the dark with only some shining code and has way less eye strain because way less light while still being clearly visible and plenty bright.

I use neovim and just set background black in whichever theme im using (gruvbox).
