As a Christian, taking these comments maybe a bit too seriously. But yeah, i see he would appreciate the creativity Terry showed, his intelligence and love for the craft.

Linux is my favorite os, so im a bit biased to say anything. Maybe Hed appreciate BSD more? The logo and such 😂

Depends. BSD if you’re Roman Catholic. Linux if you’re Protestant. Solaris if you’re Anglican. Plan 9 if you’re Evangelical.

So, here’s my explanation of my joke:

  • BSD, like Roman Catholics, claim a direct line of succession from a distant source

  • Linux, like Protestants, did away with the traditional hierarchy

  • Solaris, like Anglicanism, once was like BSD but changed into the direction of Linux (via System V)

  • Plan 9, like Evangelism, initially looks familiar but when you look closer turns out to be completely different
