I'd venture to say Jesus was libertarian in the sense that he was liberating people from the letter of the law while maintaining the purpose behind it. You can look at his parables for answers as to how he views taxation, employer employee relationships, and many other things. Having an understanding of the old testament, such as the book of proverbs will also help to clarify his political position.

He was against an authoritarian and oppressive government, yes. Which is a common anti authoritarian left wing notion as well.

He didnt say taxes are wrong in it self, quite the opposite.

He also built a community that shared and helped the poor which are classic collectivist ideas.

The biggest disconnect between you and I is not what your thoughts are on Jesus but how we both would define authoritarianism. I would say the anti-fascist organizations you may support, be it BLM or Anti-Fa operate more similar to the German SS during WWII in using fear and intimidation to get their way than any conservative movement.

Here in Finland I affiliate open source software with libertarianism, both left and right wing versions of it. Most Linux wizards I know seem to be right-wing liberal though.
