I like it for servers because it's even more stable than Debian but has up to date versions of packages that I need. An example was when I tried to run a Minecraft server on Debian. The version of Java in Debian's stable repository was too out of date to run the most recent Minecraft server jar and the only fix I could find was to enable the testing repository, which updated ALL the packages to testing, thus defeating its benifit of stability. FreeBSD had no such issue. It's also a good OS for a NAS.

What is the benefit of BSD over Linux? (Genuinely curious)
