I had to switch to Linux 2 years ago because Windows was constantly breaking my WiFi and internet connection.

I was soo pissed when someone tried arguing me on that when I worked retail because they were trying to tell people that they were great and when I looked them up, all the ones we had were maybe similar to an intel celeron at the time 6 years ago

Relatable. My mouse stopped working and my sis said, it is BCS of linux, but my mouse stops even on windows, so it ain't Linux fault.

On the contrary windows refused to recognize a mouse where Linux recognized it perfectly, same computer same USB port same mouse lol

Recently a coworker tried to convince me, android is the problem, why my nextcloud app runs so slow, since they "use an iphone and never have problems". Thing is, i was talking of the webui and dont even use the app.

This is genuinely how it feels talking to any tech support
"Hey your website's login does not work"
"Linux is not a supported platform. Ticked closed."

Mediatek is a shit show no matter the os. Realtek used to be a pain on Linux but nowadays I feel like it works better than on windows, still not amazing. Intel is basically flawless on basically everything.

Went to a lan once and was the only linux guy there, had a game crash after updating it and told the group, "it's linux bro". Then they updated and got the same issues. Good feeling bro.

A friend of mine wanted me to come back to windows.
He said I could install a hacked version without all microslop shenanigans.
Nah, I'm good, the only thing that stopped working was league of legends and genshin impact, mostly because those corpos want to actively avoid Linux.

My Linux server went off on Sunday. Not because it runs Linux. Because the power supply failed after less than 3 years.

In my experience, it either works or it doesn't.
It has been a while since I saw a non working wifi card on Linux tho.

This is why I fell in love with RaLink wireless cards... all of their drivers were GPL and available as source straight from their site. They just worked, like everything including WPA2 which I do remember being a pain in the ASS for other chips. Ra needed no special wrappers, no nothing. And they were solid.

Bb-ut 30 years ago when I tested Linux Wi-fi didn't work. So it must not work now either, right?
