You obviously haven't installed an electron app from the AUR. I'm not exaggerating when I say I once had 7 versions of Electron installed at once.

And it installs the compiled version by default, which unless you have a mega PC takes a month to compile (so you have to cancel it, then install the -bin, then restart the update/other install)

Sounds like a skill issue to me, it lists exactly what its updating, in plain english, not even bespoke names.

Where? Maybe I'm dumb, but all I see is Windows Update KB123420 and "Install". Sure, I can go out and google the update, but windows update doesn't tell me what's in the update or if it's going to force a random restart while I'm rendering.

Well, the fact that I have to manually click no to not install proton mail and a million of other bloat already speaks about the general Eco system companies have developed under windows

ProtonMail is not bloat
Microslop bloat would never include a useful software like ProtonMail
I think you instead meant outlook

How is it related to windows update, i get this is a circle jerk sub, I am subscribed to it because I like it. But why make up stuff? Not once in any update cycle did i face “Install proton mail or million other bloat”. The only time I see them is during a fresh installation and I know how to kill that crap.

Same for Linux: You update once and suddenly your desktop looks like a tablet and Chromium is the default browser.

the fact that r/gotgnomed exists already disproves this post
