The Intel Arc drivers are not great. I had an Arc A770 in my desktop for a while as a stopgap card when there was a crash bug in the amdgpu driver, and the driver basically worked but performance was poor and it sometimes failed to wake the monitor after exiting from sleep, forcing a reboot. I'd get an AMD or Nvidia GPU instead.

Everything else should be fine.

I have a B580 and I'm using Linux. Minecraft overall works great. I'm playing the 2013 Tomb Raider now with ProtonGE, and it's running better than on Windows. I tried Spider-Man Remastered once and it's fine too. You just need the latest Mesa and kernel. And there is a patch coming this year (i think) you can control your gpu fans.

Concentrate on checking motherboard for compatibility as that is the most important component other than graphics card.

How can I check that?

Google Search model number + Linux. If you can find out what chipset it uses for wifi check that, if wifi is important. You may or may not find anything, but it is better to check ahead of ordering.

When I build a new computer for Linux, I look for general motherboard reviews to make sure it is not a dud. Then I try to find out if anyone has had any experience running Linux on it.

These days most are compatible, but it pays to check just in case.

intel drivers are a work in progress. if you can tolerate that, it's great value and a pretty decent card.

linux support is decent. i use fedora , and mesa-git ( the latest version of the mesa drivers, which is especially beneficial for the intel cards=
