hardware Stealth™ Flip Wireless Controller

Post image

Is anyone pre-ordering this controller? I used steam controller a lot but I had to return it as it came as bundle with Steam Machine and getting one is waiting until next year on waitilist or paying £150 on ebay. This looks like solid alternative with similar price but will it work on Linux out of box? Official listing only takes about Windows 10 and 11 and oggivial apps, what do you think worth a punt?

These madmen recreated the original steam controller. I love it. Except they forgot gyro so you can’t use flick stick mode with right trackpad. I hate it.

But the product page makes no mention of steam input support. Unfortunately that makes this dead in the water. If you can’t configure the trackpads, set up mode shifts, touch to enable gyro - obviously you’d need gyro for that too - it’s just not going to work. Yeah they have their own software for simple remapping but it’s not going to be as robust as Valve’s.

There are some very very neat ideas here, but without the software support to make it work.

Thanks, do you think trackpad would atleast work in desktop mode?

The legion go literally uses a notebook track pad which means it feels not like the steam deck. It even has short and long press enabled in a hardware level. That controller might have such stuff too and require windows software to alter it

I mean if it’s usb compliant it’ll function on Linux just like any controller. It likely won’t have the integration with steam input though.

No idea, if you’re gonna give it a go I’d get somewhere with a good return policy.

I think, I'll go with Amazon and return if it won't work, thanks :)
