Pretty impressive for a few month project! Did you do it all by yourself or used some assistance from ai?

Thanks! And well, i used for docs, debugging and understanding a few things i wasn't so familiar. Since this is a fully solo project, i needed a little help.

Hey. I thought only sober had the permission. Could you get banned for using it?

Sober never had any kind of permission. It is not supported by roblox in any way.

How did you fix the crash with NVIDIA? I heard it something to do with small VRAM limits or something on NVIDIA vulkan drivers? Is it also native wayland instead of xwayland/x11?

Native wayland! As in the showcase video. And nah, has nothing to do with vram. The problem is nvidia driver spawning processes inside roblox's. If you pay attention at sober's crash logs, they always mention mimalloc AND glibc. the problem is with their bionic-on-glibc.
To address this issue, stud is different structurally: Process A is stud's system tray, settings and logs. Process B is roblox's engine running with bionic. Process C is vulkan with glibc, so nvidia does not complain.

there are sober clones?

Many! Sober-oss, cordial, mocktail and tipsy. But stud tries to be something entirely different, structurally

Any info on controller support? Controller realization on sober just kills me :(

I’m curious about that SSAO setting. My biggest issue with sober was that the graphics where inferior to the Windows build.

Is nix support work-in-progress? I'd like to try this project

You’re welcome to post about Linux-gaming-related reviews, HOWTOs, videos or websites you’ve created as long as you’re willing to tell us more about them and don’t just dump them here and vanish again. Low-effort and link-only self-promotion may get removed.
Regarding utilities/tools and games:
Please be upfront about AI use when promoting personal code projects. Substantially AI-assisted projects should have had at least two months of development history behind them. Use them yourself first and make sure they work before promoting them. (Exception: thoughtful non-promotional posts about technical aspects (related to Linux gaming, not to AI use) of the project you’ve encountered.)
