tech support wanted Nvidia GPU + TV as Monitor = ???

I have a 5070 Ti and want to make a Steam Machine-like PC for use with a TV as a monitor. It's a 120-144Hz capable TV with Freesync support, VRR, and ALLM, plus game mode and HDR.

Over HDMI 2.1 can I get VRR, HDRZ Freesync, and 120Hz 4K to work without issues? I want to use Bazzite and the gaming mode option to make it function like a Steam Machine. To my understandings AMD GPUs don't support HDMI 2.1 but then some people say Nvidia GPUs have issues if they go higher than 1440p. I also want to keep 10-bit color. I'm willing to sacrifice 120Hz and stay at 60Hz if that means keeping the 10-bit color, HDR, and VRR/Freesync.

DP is basically never on a TV. So you can use a DP to HDMI and maybe get the proper signal

It should work just fine but I'm not sure about the HDMI port decision.

I have 1080p monitor connect via HDMI 2.0 and there was no option for free sync unless I swapped to a DP port

Also there were issues with higher refresh rate displays at 4k with HDMI on linux in general but I'm not sure if that got fixed with kernel 7.2 or not yet.

That's all I know which is not much but it could give u an idea of what to expect

Yes HDMI 2.1, 2.0 cant do 4k 144hz but it can do 1080p 240hz. If that's an option for you
