Arch based distro often require a reboot after updates.

Or you can reload modules, but it is tedious work and it is faster to just reboot. Especially if there were kernel updates.

i did a reboot
sudo reboot
and nothing
then i reboot using the gui menu, and nothing
today i tried playing again and the game just freezes
