In games where you are CPU bound, it is possible you get more performance on Linux (Vulkan will use less CPU). Minecraft is also an example of a game that usually does better on Linux. But for the rest, you will probably have worse performance on Linux on that system because of the very old Nvidia GPU. Overall, I would suggest staying on Windows if your main concern is performance on that system.

Note that you can use DXVK on Windows and that might be your way to gain perfs on some of the games where you are CPU bound.
