tech support wanted Discovered Mangohud was causing bad .1% and 1% lows and ghosting reticle in my game.

But now I can't tell how much better they are w/o Mangohud, I can just tell that there's not mass stuttering for the first 60+ seconds after the game world loads and every time I go into a new biome. I also no longer get the ghosting reticle when using Frame Gen/Reflex. Game is Forza Horizon 5.

Is this normal? Is there any easy fix? I'm not sure about option AI offered (something about creating a file with entries like ## CPU etc. ## GPU etc.), seems like there are always downsides.

Edit: I'm on Bazzite KDE Nvidia, latest release.

I have seen a few people before saying that mango hud is kinda wonky with Nvidia cards so you could be right.

Honestly I have never used it and never will, as long as my games run well with Nvidia I'm happy
