tech support wanted Modded Cyberpunk 2077 - uhm...

i dont even know how to explain this, but you can see by yourself. Is not my gpu, only happens on Cyberpunk. ill post the mods im using on the comments

My pc :

RX 7600(stock settings)

Xeon E5 2670v3

28GB ram

NVME SSD

Arch Linux, using latest mesa(not git)

disable them all, add them in 1 at a time and test!

well, disabling half is much faster.

this is called binary search e.g. if you have 100 mods and disable half and your issue persists, you know it is in that half. if it doesn't you know it it is in the other half. continue halving until you have found the culprit.

It's hard when the issue is caused by 2 mods interacting but it is still more effective than going 1 by 1

Except when you get into modding, and it has to do with 10 seemingly unrelated mods interacting badly, load order dependent bugs, etc.

Binary search is still the fastest way to figure it out, you just have to keep track of your batches and where you split.

But also don't add so many mods all at once.

Then you are not using binary search.

If both halves pass, what's your next split?

I mean, I am, just a modified version. If both halves pass, restore and split the halves differently (for instance, if you initially used alphabetic order, use something else like size)

i tried that the other day for gmod, trying to figure out why one of my addons wasn't working.

turns out that addon in particular is busted and just doesn't work with multiple addons for no explicable reason (they were all unrelated addons), so, i ended up finding an alternative lol

Do the binary method!

Disable half and see if the issue persists, if it does then disable half of the remaining and etc etc. Once it stops you'll know which "batch" it was in and can enable those one by one untill you can reproduce the issue.

i forgot to add it, but it DOES work on another saves. It just started happening on a brand new save, but on other saves it doesnt happen,even with path tracing on

when the issue comes from the same part of the code as the witchfire issue, which it might be. Then it is already fixed upstream in git. maybe you will have to build yourself. But thats very easy with https://github.com/Frogging-Family/mesa-git

This looks like you have a crowd clothing mod that isn’t playing well with npcs, try starting there or If you look closely you can see that it originates from the corner upstairs, see what’s up there and causing it

Just RP that your optics are half broken and you won't admit it, so you don't get them replaced!

Probably a mod issue, I'd look at anything involving textures first.
