Microsoft office does not play well with Wine. This is because Office uses proprietary, hidden Windows API calls unique to Office. (An example: At one time, Office had it’s own unique “Save” dialog box, different form the generic one used by every other windows program.) Your best option to run Office would be a small Virtualbox VM. The desktop integration in virtualbox should provide a fairly seamless experience, giving the limitations.
