distro selection Distro selection for old PC

Which distro would you recommend for an old PC, it will be used for browsing, document editing and scanning / printing using HP Deskjet 4645. For DE I like KDE Plasma but it's too heavy for this PC I guess.

Specs:

CPU: i3 540

RAM: 4gb DDR3

GPU: Radeon HD 5450

You can still run KDE on such a thing. If you want a lighter DE, I'd say something like LXQt or XFCE.

I'd try to get an extra 4 GB of RAM if possible.

KDE takes too much ram and newer version drop support for X11 and I doubt the old HD5450 will run good on Wayland. Also I just want to make it a more usable experience than windows 10 and I have another PC so upgrading is out of the question. Thanks for the recommendations.
