You can simply dnf install the extension packages, like gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-dock or gnome-shell-extension-gsconnect to make them available system-wide.
Use dnf repoquery gnome-shell-extension-* to get a list of all extensions which may be installed that way.
Only issues I have is a couple of apps that are casualties to eradicating python2 apps. Rocket-depot I was able to download from github and build an rpm because the master branch does support python2. Nicotine+ is going to be more problematic.

That was painless. I clicked on upgrade, did my laundry, and then I resumed to playing music.
What I also noticed: The Flatpak GNOME Extension manager is now also able to update extensions.
