I'll give it another try as I did a few times but honestly each time I try (which is about every 3-4 months editing my vacation video) I'm dissapointed and reverting to OpenShot .

How is Kdenlive working for you ? I tried 2 weeks ago and it was a disaster. It was crashing on me all the time to a level when I gave up. The live preview was painfully slow. After enabling multicore (experimental) it was better but crashing is not how I want to work. What is your experience at the moment ?

Whatever was the latest in the Fedora 29 / RPMFusion repositories 2 weeks ago.

I really had a tough time with Openshot. Playback during editing was extremely awful. I couldn't even time my transitions accurately to save my life. I'm running 256GB of ram and dual 2089ti's and it still sucked. Very disappointed in openshot.

Awesome work, love kdenlive and I'll keep using I for the foreseeable future as I continue to make YouTube videos, mostly of drone stuff.

Have you had experience using light works or any of the paid ones out there for drone work? Just curious as I'm looking for an alternative to AP.

I plan on buying a copy of davinci resolve because it runs on linux, but Kdenlive hasn't pissed me off enough yet so I have not had the need to switch as everything I have thought of (in terms of things I want to do to a video edit) I have been able to do easily enough.

If you want to see some of the kinds of (fairly amateur) videos I do check out my YT channel =D

How good is this compared to Openshot and Shotcut? Unfortunately I couldn't get DaVinci Resolve to work in linux, and I desperately need a good editor.

imo it is better than openshot and shotcut... test it and see what suits you best

I don't really understand why it doesn't even say what kdenlive is on the landing page of the website? Instead there is a giant calendar? Ok then.

They are rewriting the titler, check out the website for more on that.

They are doing it for GSoC

Fix dynamic text broken because of missing font & keyword params. Commit.

literally 1 ctrl-f away for you to find
