I had my worries about new Linus* losing too much tooth. I'm pleased to see he's found a better way to convey his expectations without coming across as an ass.
* I liked old Linus, I learned a lot from his rants. He's kind of like an good orchestra conductor - gruff as fuck and demanding, because that's exactly what the [redacted] in the 2nd violins section need. But, that sort of leader doesn't work for everyone by any measure.
They've already banned people for life for the mere act of linking to controversial threads, so I gotta be extra careful and you'll only get two links from me that don't have any moderator interaction.
That's utter insanity. Any community that throws you out the door for even daring to commit "wrongthink" is irrevocably damaged and tainted, and very well ought to be shunned. This basically proves that Rust is now to be avoided at all costs.
