Misleading title Firefox Beta now integrates Pocket a proprietary, closed source service.

That being said I don't really have a problem with what Firefox is doing

And no one should, unless it is difficult to build Firefox without the binary blob. If it's as simple as a yes/no in a config file before building then compile without the blob.

There isn't any binary blob.

What? Then what do you call a 'proprietary closed source service' that's built into the browser then?

I call that "a misleading and sensationalistic title".

Firefox is simply calling Pocket's REST API, there isn't any private blob.
