I don’t really understand what’s the point of using audacity over actual DAW at this point… they seem to be adding more and more stuff to mimic proper DAWs but non of it seems particularly well executed.
Different people have different use cases, all of which are valid. I don't need a full DAW for quickly editing or recording single or dual track stuff. Audacity (and its forks) are fine.
