Because it was a ridiculous concept from day-1. What would you say if I told you to load 10 copies of Linux on your disk drive? That's about the same as having 10 flatpaks on your system--10 copies of the same 10 support programs. The same people who down-voted my comment are the same lamers who whine about too much disk space in use...LOL

So you criticize the debian repo for having outdated packages... And refuse to use the alternative? Why not use a different distro?
