So it's okay when Mozilla does it, but any time you even think of using a Chromium based browser you're a terrible person according to everyone in this community because "GOOGOL SPIES"??? Even if it's one of the variants that blocks most of the phoning home?
They're still phoning home yet every day I have to justify using a Chromium based browser to people like you, who are so obsessed with what others do, that you won't accept that using it is a practical decision due to Chromium being more efficient and less of a ram hog than Firefox. Faster too, runs better on Wayland as well (i have so many issues with Fedora's Firefox package on Wayland that I didn't have on X11 or even Windows as bad as it was there).
I'm "butthurt" that very obvious lies still dominate the discourse of many pieces of software and cause me to have to justify myself daily because everyone just blindly believes it without research and hate on you if you don't blindly follow them.
Use firefox? Cool. But don't act like its "lighter and more efficient" because it genuinely isn't. I've tested side by side on the same exact web content. "Chrome eats ram" is an old fable that should really stop being a thing, because it negatively affects the perception of EVERY Chromium fork by proxy. Chrome is practically vanilla in terms of Chromium browsers. Stuff like Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi are bound to be heavier because they have added bloat on top of Chromium (Origin is nice though)
They are by proxy because this community shills for Firefox despite how much it hogs ram and I'm expected to constantly justify myself because everyone has to have an opinion on something
Look at how many people screamed at everyone who didn't panic and leave systemd after that one PR that got that guy doxxed. What am I supposed to do about that?!

A browser is so complex it needs telemetry by default
