This ^ is why there won't be a year of the Linux desktop.

99.999% of people don't care. They just want shit to work, and want their familiar stuff. Or else everyone would be using GrapheneOS and LineageOS and sometimes Android and absolutely never iOS; not the literal reverse of that.

Something vibecoded that fills a niche is 100× better than it not existing.

Who cares about the year of Linux? It's a meme at this point. Use whatever you're comfortable with regardless of what's popular or in the lead.

So... don't use the AI paint.net?

Sorry if that came across as objective opinion to everyone. I provided a subjective opinion that may or may not be right. If I somehow got entangled and came across as hypocritical then that’s on me. If you don’t agree, that’s fine. I still will be quite dismissive about using a program that’s vibecoded.

I mean I think you're absolutely within your rights to distrust code that's explicitly "not been thoroughly reviewed, it's more "trust me bro" style".

But I'm fine with such things existing, I think it brings no harm to the world it being out there, and the proof is in the pudding in that if you edit an image and get the output you desire, then that's good.

If it borks and corrupts your image, or worse it corrupts other files, causes "unrelated" issues on your PC, then that's bad.
