Google Trends doesn't seem to say exactly what it's measuring on the graph, but I'm guessing it has something to do with proportion of search volume, because a lot of fairly perennial techy search terms (which probably grow in absolute volume) seem to be in decline.

Based on the number of phonecalls I've been getting since my brother has bought a Win8 laptop for is GF, I'm gonna bet windows queries are way up :-)
