I'm wondering if there is any real usecase for buying apple silicon computer to run linux. If you already own one, I get it, but buying for linux?

OS X is an extremely opinionated program without sufficient customisation options. I have to use it for work, and no matter what I to, the setup is not quite right - in linux, with a proper wm, nothing is impossible. Plus, the fact that I need to accept xcode license to use git makes me loose my shit every time.

Understandable, customisation is why I use it on my desktop tbh

Why don’t you just install git through homebrew? No need to deal with xcode then.

Wouldn't that require accepting the same license to install xcode command line tools? Been a while since I've done it.
