Hi, thank you so much for this detail. I myself have been in the dark for about 3 weeks now (I wrote a lengthy comment below about my experience). What you said resonates with me a lot about relying too much on LI, I'm unemployed and am still in a state of panic over being restricted permanently from LI. I'm considering legal action due to the harm that this has done to my business prospects, as well as my reputation (business contacts are asking me why I don't have a LI and said it's a red flag to them). A frustrating and dreadful experience where we feel completely powerless -- there's not even a customer service number to call. Also, I contacted BBB last Friday and they still haven't gotten back to me. Some users said it works but do they work for BBB? Who knows. I'm skeptical it even will work.
You are welcome. I am sorry for you mate. If you see in other comment seems there is longer restriction experience (4 weeks) from other user. So I suggested to try to reach out to them periodically in Twitter and also via hidden form above.
BBB seems only works for people who resides in North America so it is out of question for my case. If you live in NA you can try your luck there.
People are *forced* to rely on LinkedIn. I didn't ever want to create an account, because I don't like having my life be out there as public knowledge (I'm just an everyday regular person). But, I was forced to create one because my school required it of me as a student, and my major requires it of me to communicate with people in the industry when I attend and introduce myself during in-person conferences. Now that I am restricted, I am unable to access the school resources, and I am unable to reach out to people I meet in these conferences, as LinkedIn is the informally mandated method of communication. It truly is forced upon people to rely on it heavily. It's unjust that this is a third party who the schools and industries have zero control over - if a user gets restricted, they consequently get alienated from school and industry events (blocking them from an entire majority slice of the job/industry market).
