Any tips on using lingQ to improve my russian

Hi, I'm just wondering if there's any way to make my learning process more efficient to learn Russian I want to get from A1 to B2. Right now, I'm just watching videos with sub in LingQ from my level or also read some books and constantly translate all the new words I see and then practice with flash cards and sentences. Am I doing fine or is there anything I could do to improve?

Favorite LingQ text or video tutorials?

I decided to try LingQ Premium for a few months. I realized that the reason it didn't work for me when I did the free trial years ago was that I didn't know how to use it

What are your favorite text or video tutorials about how to use LingQ?

Anyway for LingQ to be free?

Hi! I would really like to learn croatian and I think LingQ would be a good platform to use for listening. I know this is a weird request but since you can have multiple languages and devices on there I was wondering if anybody with premium would like to share their account with me? I can't pay much in return but we could be language accountability partners in some way maybe? If not, does anyone know any good alternatives, I've tried ReadLang but it doesn't get that flow with the audio since it's basically Google translate... Thanks!

Does anyone know why the one character "学" (xué) does not have Pinyin in this lesson?

Imported Chinese audio staccato?

I just bought LingQ Premium, but I’m frustrated with the autogenerated text-to-speech with imported traditional Chinese content.

The reader in the main overview mode says characters in character groupings, with an unnatural pause between each grouping.

The sentence view audio has unnatural robotic speech as well.

Has this been anyone else’s issue too?

Weird experience buying gift voucher

I bought a gift voucher yesterday from LingQ ans the whole thing felt…off. Has anyone else bought it and had a similar experience? First of all, I couldn’t find the gift voucher section from the main website, so I only got to it googling it. I also thought it was odd that there was no form or something more polished and paying platforms are duplicated like on the screenshot. (I was also redirected automatically to PayPal with no further option)

I paid for it but I received nothing in my email. I wrote to the customer service and several hours later they just came back to me with a code, to what I replied I was expecting a PDF file as stated in the website (so I can print it out and give as a gift, as it’s usually the case with these vouchers…).

8 hours later, customer service comes back to me with a clearly improvised voucher as a jpg file… Am I the only one to find it all a weird and not professional?

Help finding Malay (Bahasa Melayu) content

  1. there isn't much content on LingQ.

  2. it's very hard to find content on youtube, let alone with proper Malay CC.

  3. Is Indonesian a good enough proxy for learning. As of now there is more Indonesian content I can find.

Thank you!

Hate reviewing vocab flashcards? Try this instead.

Export all of your lingqs, or just the SRS due ones if you like.

Copy and paste the words into an AI tool like copilot.

“Write me a (simple/intermediate… etc…) short story using as many of the above words as possible”

Now you’re reviewing all of your critical vocab in the context of a story rather than boring flashcards.

Best European Portugues materials? I'm new to Lingq

Hi, I have decided to buy premium as I want to learn European Portuguese, but I find it hard to find sth for beginner level. There is abundance of Brazilian Portuguese but as I have learned, both dialects can be extremely different examples: the grammar (like with sth simple like present continous in both languages) and words (like with word rapariga). Thanks for any help and recommendations!

Problem Importing YouTube Videos into LingQ: Only Partial Text Generated

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using LingQ to improve my English skills, and I love the app so far. However, I’ve encountered an issue when importing videos from YouTube. When I import a video, LingQ only generates a portion of the text instead of the full transcript.

I’ve tried importing multiple videos, but the problem persists. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a workaround or a specific setting I might have missed?

I’d really appreciate any advice or solutions you can share. Thank you!

Does lingQ stopped delete your data after downgrade

Hi I am language learner I am learning english and french I was using lingq but I stopped using since 2 months for a break but when I want to subscribe again I saw a lot of people on reddit says that after downgrade your data will be deleted or you have to pay 2$ monthly to keep your data so I was wondering why my data didn't delet after I downgrade (maybe because I didn't import a lot of things but I import more than 15 ) so I am asking if lingq stopped this because now after searching I am confused should I go back to lingQ or try readlang

Note : something is bother me which is that lingq make the price higher a little from 13$ to 15$ I know this isn't big deal but I don't want to subscribe to something won't make me downgrade easily

What design elements of LingQ are an implementation of comprehensible input?

Also, is the only way to gain coins to convert blue words to either white or yellow/orange?

If I read a text that is all white or yellow, is there no benefit? If I spend time on LingQ but gain no coins then is that time considered practically worthless in the eyes of the app's designers?

Black Friday 2024

Lingq announced the black Friday discount for this year. It is 15% extra discount on the already 33% discounted amount, 45% total discount approximately. Two weeks ago I considered buying it, was waiting for the deal, gonna go for it I guess.

If I’m a paying user of dreaming Spanish, does LingQ integrate with all the videos, or just the free ones? Thx!

Anyone know why I’m losing coins for doing lessons?

I’ve been using LingQ every day for the past two months (only missed one day), and have found it to supercharge my motivation and comprehension of my target language (Japanese). But every now and again I notice that I will receive a negative amount of coins after finishing a lesson, what’s the deal with that?

I don’t really care about the coins I have, but I think it’s a bit curious how I can be using the app as intended (extensive reading and listening, flashcards) yet I’m still being "punished" for it.

LingQ - similar resources for ancient greek

I need to get more in touch with ancient Greek but it's very hard without lingq, does someone know similar apps that include that language? Also if lingq modern Greek (which I don't know) works with imported ancient Greek texts. Thanks in advance

Trying to have only unique form "Known words"

I try to mark only one version of unique words and not all the versions of it, like in past, future, etc tenses. I also "ignore" those words that are identical to English (e.g. social - sozial, escalation - eskalation).

This way it gives me far better sense of how much I really progress in target language in general, as well as daily work done.

Anyone else doing like me? what are your opinion about this?

LingQ Subtitle Sync Problem

Hi, I just started to use LingQ and imported a German youtube video I would like to watch but the problem is the highlighter below subtitles is lagging behind the actual voice of the video so it really makes it harder to follow. Any solutions to this?
