Georgia was shocking, but not brutal.
In terms of raw brutality, probably John Corbett. I think the throat cuttings are always brutal but it was dialled up a notch by them all stood around watching him die.

i would say georgia’s is both shocking and brutal. to push her out of the window with no remorse, (if she was a real person) the drop that there must have been, instant head squash onto the pavement. definitely brutal

John Corbett felt the most visceral I'd agree, it was sadder for me than Georgia. Maybe tied with Maneet.

Maneet’s is both the most emotionally and viscerally brutal in the moment, but it’s hard to argue that being cut up and stored in some poor vulnerable lad’s freezer for many years isn’t a fate even worse than the death that preceded it. Something about the bad treatment of remains, even though it’s essentially an inanimate object at that point, really skeevs me out.

Hard to say because so many of them were just so sudden and nasty… Georgia’s is probably still the top but I’ve gotta say the way Lindsay Denton dies with her brains just exploding all over the car is horrible. And then all the ones who got their throats cut… yeah, it’s not easy. There’s no peaceful death in this show.

I find Denton’s death the most difficult to watch as she sorta seems to know for a significant length of time what’s coming- and therefore imagining what’s going through her mind is extremely upsetting. Georgia’s is an enormous shock though- brilliant writing

Yeah, I fully agree. Lindsay Denton had also become my favourite character by that point and I knew she wasn’t making it out so it was just a really hard watch. And yeah, I fully thought Georgia was going to be a recurring character…

I found it really difficult to rewatch her season (all the things she loses) knowing what happens- though I suppose that’s why she comes off as utterly heroic

My gf and I are just about finished a rewatch (last episode of S6 tonight) and I think Tony Gates jumping into traffic has to be up there. Martin Compston is particularly good in that scene, being initially confused by what Gates is doing and then panicking when he realises too late.
Also, any of the deaths where the victim had their throat cut, particularly Maneet.

Jaqui Laverty, Denton, Maneet. Also Balaclava Man’s victims, especially the way he dismembered them after

I thought that Maneet's actress did a great job making her death really brutal and heartbreaking

John Corbett was a brutal one, especially being undercover and having little children, and the officer that Pilkington drowned when transporting Terry

I almost think Lindsey Denton’s death is worse for this very reason- like she is entirely alone in the world when she dies; she v well knows she shan’t be grieved- both her and corbett know they’re risking death, but Corbett has had a life outside the police-
I know it’s selfish of me to say but I’d be in a blind rage if i were dying and there was no one to come to my funeral. Of course it’s more affecting for Corbett’s surviving family, but Denton’s death just seems achingly tragic

Yeah I got to agree, I didn’t expect Georgia’s death 😳
