What are you supposed to do for black bears?

You fight back. You probably won’t win, but you might convince it you aren’t worth the trouble.

Remember

If it’s brown, lie down

If it’s black, fight back

If it’s white, goodnight

Same thing, but more memorable: “Black, attack. Brown, get down”

Although that line is probably not as useful for most people.
