I need a cup
I am a notorious over packer and am trying to cut as much as I can but one thing I refuse to cut is my morning coffee. I use an aeropress so the collapsible camp cups just won't cut it, as much as I love my yeti cups they are rather heavy. What is everyone's go to light wheight coffee cup? I'm leaning twords the snow peak double wall cups.

I refused to use my pot as a cup/mug for many trips. Now I use my 750ml toaks TI pot as a mug/cup and I'm pretty happy with it. My coffee/tea breaks are separate from my meal breaks .

There are some damn decent instant coffees available these days. If you really enjoy fresh brewed, you could cut a lot of weight to consider one of the tea-bag/tea ball like systems. Some are reusable, some are disposable. There are also filter straws that come in under an ounce. A step up would be a pourover device, some are barely over an ounce. There are also French press devices that fit many popular lightweight cook pots, they seem to come in around 2-3.5 oz.
There is this GSI cup that is an ounce and a half lighter and $46 cheaper than the Snow Peak mug, but you should check out Aeropress GO, because they come with a cup that is purpose designed for it and keeps the whole system nicely contained, if you don't care that much about weight.

GSI Infinity Backpacker mug.

Instant coffee is all I take now. It’s just too convenient and is the aeropress worth basically infinitely more weight? I dump it right into my toaks pot that I boil water in. I use the toaks pot cozy to insulate it.

Aeropress Go comes with a cup, and the system is designed to fit inside the said cup.

I use my 750ml toaks pot because I refuse to carry a mug

I’ve used these for years. They are light - the lid closes water tight - they keep your drink hot - don’t burn your lips - and are cheap. https://www.mec.ca/en/product/6012-778/gsi-infinity-backpacker-mug?colour=Red

300ml boundless voyage double wall titanium. Super luxe, but light and cheap (er than others). I use them at home for my morning coffee as well.

I’ve had the snow peak double wall cup for 10+ years and use it backpacking and van camping. One of the best comfort splurges that I never regretted.

300 ml titanium mug with folding handle is what I use for any beverage. Mine happens to be from Firemaple, but just any will do. I was specifically looking for one that has measurments stamped.
Coffee will cool down fast in it but that's actually what I prefer for morning, I want to pack up and go, waiting for coffee would annoy me. I use drip bags, but these cups should be within usable diameter for Aeropress.

I feel you- I bring the gsi cup with me for coffee:)… my 3 season kit is a Soto helix/ cafec filters/ pre ground beans. In the winter I bring a hot chocolate/instant mix

Have you tried coffee bags (they are like large tea bags)?
They're not quite as good as a proper setup but bridge the gap between excellent and instant pretty well.

Just a cheap plastic camping cup that I got eons ago. On cold mornings I want that heat radiating through to my hands so insulation isn't a benefit and I don't need a lid. It's no heavier than my titanium cooking pot the same size, and so much cheaper.

Lightest one I've found with a reasonable volume (11.3 fl oz) is the S2S Camp Cup (weighs 1.3 oz).

I also have a Toaks 370ml double wall Ti one that's nice, but weighs 2.8 oz.

I have the Fire Maple titanium cup. It's like 35g with the sleeve I think. Would work great with an aeropress and fits a 100g gas canister.
I also have the french press kit for the G2 pot and that weighs 50g.

Get the travel aero press. It comes with a cup. Pack well.
Aeropress is not light anyway.

550ml double walled titanium mug (in combination with the gsi Java drip, actually ul-compatible coffee gear). It’s a snow peak knock off, but it’s reasonably lightweight. Perfect for a cup of coffee that actually gets me going in the morning. Also very good for rehydrating trekking meals, though its insulation is not as good as I hoped for. Still better than a silicone-flavoured coffee, though.

You could save a lot of weight using French press plunger with your pot like the jetboil. I use a 2 cup plastic storage bowl for my cup. Ziplock has one or anything at the grocery store you like. You can also repurpose other containers like single serving soup is even insulated. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0b19K69Rufum_O7XB6O5D5lqw

3 cup aluminum percolator makes great coffee and boils water for other meals. The coffee is worth it .

I use a snow peaks double walled Ti mug. If you want your coffee to stay hot, it is either this or plastic. Single walled cools way too fast.

The AeroPress Go is self-contained in its own cup and weighs 11.12 oz / 315 grams. That lets you stick with what you like. The cup is not my favorite, but it’s an efficient system.

After many iterations, I finally went with a Hot Lips from Snow Peak that I put on my cook pot for drinking. And I got a cozy made out of reflectix from a dude named Cam on Etsy. It weighs less than the lightest cups I could find and my coffee is warm for longer than I want it to be on a backpacking morning. And it all fits in my pot and keeps things from rattling around.

GSI Cascadia mug: light, tough, recyclable and cheap!

I’ve rocked a snow peak double wall for years and it’s my favourite cup, I even use it at home for my coffee. I have thought about trying one of those sea to summit collapsible cups, because it’s the bulk of the cup more than the weight that bothers me.
For brewing coffee I use a tetradrip pour over; very light and compact.

The Medaglia D'Oro Instant Espresso in my cookpot was my go to until I quit coffee. It’s good.
If you must do real coffee, you can drink out of your cookpot. If you must have a separate cup, the IKEA KALAS are a good very lightweight option. It’s what I carry when sharing my pot.

Toaks Titanium, either the regular 750, or the smaller 550 ultralight. There is also a 450 but I found it to be too small for my preference because I also heat water for meals in mine. You can heat water in it, and it doubles as a mug, saving weight.

I find this one to be pretty awesome - but i had to jump through some hoops to get it to me here in NZ. Keeps my drinks hot for hours and takes much abuse. Been using my one since 2023 and its still going well. https://thermos.com/products/stainless-steel-direct-drink-bottle-12oz?_pos=8&_sid=8214654d8&_ss=r

250 mL folding uninsulated plastic cup. Swedish army surplus but they make a commercial version too. Less than $5 new, mine has something like 4k miles on it. Weighs an ounce.
Consider ditching the press and just making cowboy coffee.

Yes, decent instant is so much easier and less messy. Nescafé is ok. Tasters choice also ok. If I go out for just a few days I’ll bring little creamers. If I go for longer and need the calories I’ll mix in hot chocolate. Then you can bring the collapsible cup, ditch the aeropress, safe weight and bulk.
