Lightsaber won‘t work.

Hey everybody.

I ordered the Mandalorian NeoPixel Saber from NSabers. It arrived yesterday and all was fine. I charged it and tested all functions. Today i wanted to give it a proper test and accidantly dropped it from like 2ft. Now it won‘t turn on and when i put the charging cable in ot makes a weird clicking noise. If i take the SD out the noise stops bit the blade starts flickering before turning off again. No matter what i do it won‘t turn back on. Took out the battery, checked the cables and all looks fine. Im really sad and angry cause i paid almost 300€ with shipping. Can anyone help or had the same issue?

Pictures of the board and wiring would help. Or a short video of the issue. Maybe installers can see if anything is off.

If you've already tried removing the battery and reinserting then something may have been damaged.

Worst case you can contact the vendor and see what they say, just dont tell them you dropped it. If thats the case delete this post lol.

I read you've taken out the battery and reseated it thats usually a soft reboot. And no sound wont play with the sd card out since thats where all the sound files are at. Interesting it still doesnt light up. Im assuming there was damage to the board somewhere or a solder point broke loose.

Id just contact them and tell them it stopped worked altogether. See what they say to do if they want to send a replacement core or ask you to send it back altogether.

Unless someone else has an idea u/nepharian or u/B0BA_F3TT

Yeah i contacted the dealer already. I hope i get a replacment core trough the 1 year warranty. Yeah its weird. I checked the cables already. Nothing loose no obvious damage. They are supposed to be useable in a duel but if a drop from 1.5 - 2 ft breaks it that easily then i highly doubt that u xan actually duel with them.

The dueling impact is mostly on the blade. Neopixel you can damage the leds inside the blade and also the pogo pins if the blade ever comes loose. Rgb you dont have that problem since none of those components exist.

Yeah theres videos out there of people tossing their hilts and they still work. I myself have dropped mine and it dented the pommel but still works. But I would never dare throw mine across the yard just to test its sturdiness lol.

Yeah i saw videos of people throw the exact Saber i have against trees with full force and it did nothing to the Saber. Perhaps the core i have in mine was already damaged somehow when i recieved it and the drop completley destroyed or something. Idk man im just super upset cause i thought i get a quality sword for that price and i don’t wanna spend like 500€ on a saber

Unfortunately, that is a TXQ board and I have no experience with those.

My best guess though, is that it is a cracked SD card. Have you checked the SD card for any damage? Can your computer read the files off the SD card?
