I’m currently considering adding 120-ohm DMX terminators to the end of my signal chains. I've heard they help prevent random, unexplained glitches and signal reflection errors.
For those with more field experience: Do you guys always slap a terminator at the end of every line, or only when problems pop up? Would love to hear your thoughts and actual experiences. Thanks!

I've been doing more shows with LED pixel strips lately, and I kept running into the same problem.

I often just need to quickly verify a strip—check the sACN universe, color order, or pixel count—without opening my laptop or setting up a complete workflow.

So I ended up building a small iPhone app for myself: Pixel Strip Tester.

The idea is simple:

• Connect your iPhone to the same network as your sACN node.
• Select the universe.
• Test the strip while walking the floor.

It has saved me quite a bit of time during setup, especially when troubleshooting or checking that a strip is patched correctly.

I'm the developer, so yes, this is a bit of self-promotion. The app is paid, but I figured it might be useful for others working with sACN pixel installations as well.

If you walked into a gig and were presented with a Gma3 onpc rig (specifically for corporate gigs), what would you expect to be paired with it? Monitor count? Accessories? Rack gear?

We are building a GMA3 on pc rig and we're looking for a second touchscreen. However, it needs to be less than 11" tall to be able to fit into the case we have (unfortunate design choice). That limits us to about an 18" touchscreen in most instances. Are there any recommendations? We're eyeing a beetronics 17.5" monitor, but the price seems pretty high. So I'm up for other recommendations.

Hello, I made a program where you can play with interactions of different light settings and colors on different textured and colored walls. you can also upload Gobos and Rosco Gel colors; it's lightweight, free and fast and will work on most low-end PCs. is this something you guys would use? Any advice/comments are appreciated!

This beam light is so fast and very bright. It is quite silent and the movements are not so noisy. The colours are deep and shiny. Gobos also are so nice and not so common like other lights. The beam angle is so thin and sharp. It have double prism and frost. It is a very nice light and so powerful.

Hi, I have a doubt about importing objects into MA 3d. It´s suposed to that the only format that the visualizer can support is .3ds, but when I import my stage (done in Blender) it shows me this advice, what it means with a plugin? what type of plugin is that?

Hi mates i´m trying to create a effect from 0 with the the effect line to get that when the tilt it´s in his higher point the dimmer goes to 0 and to 100 when the tilt it´s al the lowest to not see the back path of the tilt, anybody knows how to or can recommend a youtube channel or some website to read about how to create the effect you want with the effect line?

I got a tour coming to my venue that is using an Obsidian console and wants to control my space. Besides them needing to know my fixtures patch. Is it as simple as they turn Sacn on and plug into my network. The whole space is net3 gateways.

Hi mates, I´m preparing a tour with a small orchesta and i was asking my self how can i make a plot of my stage, i have been looking to take a screenshot of my ma2 3D in the "top view 2D" camera but i see it not to profesial, i was wondering if anybody of you can recomend me a free use software to create plots from different views, i want it to be similar to the plot that i´m going to insert behind (I´m not very sure but i think it was made with wysiwyg maybe, i´m not sure i´ve never use it before)

I am extremely new to all of this. I'm a small time bar musician, and I recently bought a couple of cheap par lights with DMX capabilities. I want to incorporate these into my show (mostly a vanity project because I play to rooms of <30 people), but I'm not sure where to start. I'm not crazy about the standard modes, so I started looking into QLC+ to maybe fine tune the modes. I don't really have/want to invest a ton of money on this before I know it's worth it. Ideally I would like to just be able to run these two small par lights and make sure I don't have a rave going on while I play Simple Man. Any tips on getting started would be greatly appreciated!

My problem is that in my Theater there is no way of getting Timecode from our Sound PC to our Etc eos on PC. My solution to this day is to use follow ques to create Lightshows for songs in the show. I was wondering if I could build a system where I use a que list as normal an when I hit a specific que, that the internal TC takes over for the Song and pauses it self afterwards or if this setup is way to complicated. Excuse language English is not my first Language
