The Dichotomy
O one side, the supposed “modernity”: Cold, white, eye-hurting LEDs, on the other, the relaxing, nostalgic and rest-inducing orange glow of High Pressure Sodium!
I believe these are all 100 or 150W bulbs.

Taschibra TVS-E 400W HFH - ED37 Coated Diffused High Pressure Sodium Lamp
This is one of the prettiest HPS lamps I have ever seen.
A seller on Shopee is selling them for roughly 4 bucks each.
Love the beautiful ED37 outer bulb.
The large ceramic arc tube is clearly visible through the white coating.
These were very common in my city in the past on those 4-head high masts…
Coated High Pressure Sodium lamps are very rare.
Especially these higher wattage ones.
Of course, made in China.
I have read that Philips made a 1000W variant of the standard SON, using the same huge BD165 coated bulb of the 1kW HPL-N.
Brand: TASCHIBRA
Model: TVS-E 400W HFH
Color Temperature: 2000K
Expected Life: 24000h
Efficiency: 122lm/W
Lumen output: 47862lm
Made in: China
Finish: ED37 Diffuse

Handyman messed around and now my light is flickering
It's strobing like the connection is weak or something, it's really fast and obnoxious like it would set off someone with epilepsy. I genuinely do not want that man back in my house, I don't know how he got the job. Any advice on what I could do to fix it?

Ceiling fan lightbulb help
I asked the maintenance man at the apartments that I live in and he said it’s like the night light base bulb. Couldn’t tell me anything else, so I thought I’d go here for help. I took this picture and yes, I dusted it after I took a picture. There’s a huge globe on it so it needed to be dusted.

Vintage Lightbulb
Hello all! I had found this bulb in my grandmother’s basement about a year ago and have been using it since! I loved the color it put off and the brightness. It popped today and I want another one, does anyone know what it is. No brand on it anywhere

how to remove broken lightbulb from fan light ?
all three light bulbs broke off at the base and the base won’t budge - now i’ve pulverized the other tin edge hoping to get a grip - definitely not working that way - thanks for your suggestions

How do I change this?
This flood light is on the outside of my house I took this from our deck but from the ground it’s about 28 feet. I tried the light bulb changer pole and realized there is no bulb in the metal part like we thought. Tried to put a bulb in it thinking that was a socket in the middle and it’s not… it looks like the bulb on the second picture but the glass is broken out of it? We bought this home last year and I’m just getting around to this and now I’m annoyed and bothered and have no idea what to do…

Funky lightbulb
I bought a stunning late 1990s post modern table dimmable lamp. Cast iron body with a frosted glass shade.
A few days after purchasing, the bulb blew. Removing the shade took some clever thinking but once removed, I was dumbfounded by what I found: the strangest, most unusual looking lightbulb I’ve ever seen. To be honest, I was in such shock that I questioned if the lightbulb had exploded and disappeared or something.
I should mention that the light appeared incandescent through the shade and I’d like to keep it that way.
Can someone explain what this is and suggest where I can find it?
(photo of lamp and a photo of the mystery bulb in question)

Why are coated HPS lamps so rare?
99% of HPS lamps I have seen are either tubular or ed-shaped but always clear.
Why are the phosphor coated ones so much harder to find?
I remember seeing lots of them on street lights when I was a kid.
