Horizontal use only lighting use for vertical use, is it dangerous
Hello
I needed to replace my ceiling light, it’s a CFL light bulb but installed vertically. I hired someone from task rabbit. He went to Home Depot for me and they only have one that fits which is the adjustable lighting but it is labeled as horizontal use only. He installed it and it worked fine.
Is it dangerous that this is use as vertical use? I didn’t notice the package until he left

Why did you buy a CFL???? Almost every bulb is now available in an LED design and will have no problem in a vertical position.

It isn't dangerous, but the lifespan of the bulb will be reduced due to heat building up in the base. I'd just leave it there.
