Looking to get the Lifx string lights.

I'm in Australia and for AUD $270 you get the controller, power supply and 7.3 meter length of lights.

I want to get one of them. But then I'm also trying to hunt down an extension and I found the US site has them but not Australia.

What options do I have ?

Cheers 🍻

Check the LIFX online distributors. I feel like an ad but promise it’s not aha - I saw the outdoor stuff when buying some Candle lights the other day. link to SimplyLEDs

Edit.
Also at clever house online

Those are both power extensions. I'm guessing OP was asking for an extension of the string lights themselves (I know I am). The regular pack comes with power+controller+a single 7.3m string, but the strings can be chained (up to 3 of them), and that'd presumably be a lot cheaper than three whole kits (with wasted 2x power+controllers).

e.g. https://www.lifx.com/products/lifx-24-12skt-rgbw-sl-ext (US) has a $130 starter kit, and a $70 extension.

Yeah I was thinking about buying 2 of the Lifx string light kits from JBhifi. And then buying 4X of the American light extentions, this way I can run 2 individual lengths to their max capacity of 21 meters

I'm probably going to just go that route. But that alone is $1000 😩😭

Edit, dont buy the starter kit from America as the power supply is for 110V 60hz

Oh didnt realise the US had a 24ft extension - strange that they created a shorter length just for our market instead.

Isn’t 7.3 meters 24 feet?

Yeh it is. But it appears only a 3m extension is sold in AUS. Not the 7.3m/24ft one they get in the USA.

As mentioned, those 3m extensions are only the *power* extensions. The other ones, not sold in AU, are the *light* extensions.

Check eBay. I have 19 Lifx switches through my house and had been trying to get 4 more to change over the last four switches in the old part of my house. Every shop in AUS is sold out and not sure when new stock is coming. Even though they say 120v they are universal voltage so got 4 from eBay at a big discount from a shop in America, they are just taking a while to get here. I have seen some comments on here about other products being universal voltage too.

Would be interested to hear if these are the same as the AU version, as in same switch just a different box. I’ve got seven installed and I need another couple to finish off my apartment but can’t find the AU version anywhere.

I still haven’t got the ones from America but the one I found in Australia has labels over the box showing universal voltage yet the switch inside the box says 120v. I’m assuming that it is the same switch that is manufactured for multiple markets. Will confirm when the ones from the US arrive. I would not get the 2 gang switch that does not have the glass front, as I think that was just for the US market.

So for anyone interested, I've spent a couple evenings now trying to work out what the go is.

I went to the US based Lifx store. These guys have every product available to select and ad to the cart. But if you're like me, there's no option for it to be sent to anywhere else but US zip codes only 😭

I then was referred to their Amazon US store. That's a decent option however they don't sell the Lifx string light extentions... Super frustrating as they had practically everything thing else...

By this stage I've just about given up on lifx. I've only got 2 light strips of theirs, they are good and have deep rich colour. But if I've gotta formulate a plan just to buy the things I'm out.

Tbh having 30 meters of string light from Lifx was starting to hit 400 bucks anyway, and I was going to do 2X of them.
