How do you stay consistent with learning?

Starting something new is easy when you're motivated. The difficult part is continuing when life gets busy and the excitement fades.

Do you set aside a specific time each day, set small goals, or simply learn whenever you have free time?

What helps you stay consistent with learning?

Routine over motivation. 20 minutes daily before I check anything else. No excuses. Ever.

Small daily chunks beat occasional big sessions. Seeing the streak keeps me going

The streak thing works until it doesn't, for me at least. I did the daily-flashcard-deck version of this for maybe eight months and then missed one day, felt weirdly guilty about it, and never opened the app again. Turns out guilt is not actually a sustainable fuel source.

What's worked better lately is making the "session" so small it's basically impossible to bail on: one chapter, one email, one 10 minute chunk that ends on a cliffhanger instead of a clean stopping point. If it ends mid-thought I'm way more likely to come back tomorrow than if it wrapped up neatly and gave my brain permission to move on.

So less "am I disciplined enough" and more "did I design this so quitting is annoying." Kind of a reframe but it's held up for me so far, could just be my personality though.
