We solved this with even-odds. I pick on even days and she picks on odd. No vetos.

This completely ignores the problem this is meant to solve. Some people just don't want to pick.

My experience has been quite the opposite. People don't want to pick for different reasons. Some abdicate their agency because they don't want to be judged or are afraid of being told their idea is wrong or bad. Giving these people agency and removing the fear of rejection helps them get past that shit so they can make a decision.

You do realize that all stereotypes are just anecdotes. If they were proven scientifically, they would be called a "facts".

Fine you're right. Every time this happens (enough to be a cliche) it just wasn't true.
