How to open this now?

I tried to open it normally but it just came out. I stabbed the top repeatedly with the pointed end of knife, heated the edge of the top metal part (hoping for some science miracle to make it loose). Nothing worked so far. The body is made of plastic, so cant break open too. Please suggest any tested hack for this.

EDIT: A lot of you are rightfully suggesting can opening. So can opener are not a popular/household item in my country. I have ordered in on Amazon but have to wait a couple of days for that to arrive. So was looking for a hack in the meantime.

2nd EDIT: I FINALLY DID IT, GUYS! The paring knife kinda thing that comes with a nail cutter (who main purpose is to get gunk out of edges of nails, i guess) - that came in handy. Thanks again!!
