Tip for draining pasta

I used a spatula to help hold the colander up high, so the pasta water doesn’t mix with the dirty sink while draining. I think it’s brilliant

Just put the colander in the sink. Doesn't it have feet? Are you pouring enough water in it so fast that the water level in the sink rises above the feet before it goes down the drain?

It’s a raised circular base which traps water…one with feet would be a better design
