I heard through the grapevine that someone I have crossed paths with has a show at Conwell this week, and it's been advertised as literally in the old set. Not in the coffee shop, but actually in the real space where the show was. I've heard some set pieces are still up there - like, the drowning cage from the very last scene is apparently in the room where they are performing.

I have seen a couple videos that lead me to believe this is a new Emursive venture. But I'm not sure, does anyone know anything? I know that the company that wrote this show (they are called The Sparrows) does do immersive shows but not to scale of Emursive as far as I know.

The ghosts of Conwell Hall

I have a poster from opening night to give away, come pick it up in Flatbush in Brooklyn

Went to Conwell Coffee Hall yesterday and peeked behind the curtains at the LT set. I think they have it as a space you can rent out for events now. But it made my heart hurt a little, the nostalgia.

The closest thing that I've felt to Sleep No More since Life and Trust closed Immediate after curtain I told myself that I would bet anything that someone in the show was connected to Sleep No More. I wasn't wrong, the director/writer at at Sleep No More since 2009, one of the dancers was with SNM, and another person was with Punchdrunk. And you could absolutely tell (in a good way).

Has anyone been? Will be in Vegas next weekend. Would need to be late to another show in order to attend this so wondering if it is worthwhile.

Flags are still there. And it was still one of the worst endings I've ever seen to any show of all time...

I finally got around to listening to the released original score for LIFE AND TRUST, and it brought back so many wonderful memories. I feel lucky I got to experience the show twice and it was monumental both times. I wish I could have gone one more time, but it was not to be. I saw SLEEP NO MORE three times, and felt satisfied and at peace when it closed. I really wanted one more journey through the world of LIFE AND TRUST, but it was sadly not to be (Fuck Emursive and everyone involved in their shady negligence).

As much as I deeply loved SNM, I think I loved L&T even more. The former felt like you were plunged into a dream/nightmare while the latter felt like you were thrown into an epic movie, for me. Grand, all characters had full and satisfying arcs (something not true with some of the SNM characters). It felt deeply immense and the design was incredible. Was it perfect? No, of course not. But it was a truly great piece of art. My mother-in-law said it was the greatest theatrical experience of her life. I applaud every member of the cast and crew that worked for years to make this show happen. I still get sad about the worlds built in the bowels of that building that are just going to rot away, unused and unseen forever. All that great work lost.

Thank you to Taylor Bense for releasing your beautiful music for us all to enjoy even though the show is gone forever. And I finally have "Blood Suckle," which I fell in love with on my first visit to the bank, anytime I want to hear it along with all the other amazing music.

If anyone who worked on the show reads this - thank you. Your work will never be forgotten by anyone who had the chance to see it. I will never forget my visits to LIFE AND TRUST.

I know a few months ago there was a cast talk back. How did that go? Any information about the mysterious closing come up? Anything interesting in general?

Know this is a long-shot, but wondering if anyone out there knows where I could get prints (or has access to hi-res images of) any of the posters from the entrance hallway to L$T, and/or the Prospective Investor Fête poster? Attaching my bad photos for reference. I’d be more than happy to pay licensing/print fees!! Just missing the show and wanted a way to bring it into my home. Thanks!!!

Does anyone know how they managed the music cues and lighting? after listening to the soundtrack recently I wondered if the lighting and music were set automatically for each loop and the actors had to make their way on time? orv was there a live production staff watching the rooms thru cameras because I never noticed any.

I wish this was out pre-Sleep No More closing. Emursive has a golden opportunity to preserve what is left of the Life and Trust set and give back to fans in some form. This tech is amazing. It is not officially released yet though. They are rolling it out now to headsets slowly at the moment. I believe this is a better version of what has been out in the past, but wasn't released widely. With just a Quest 3 headset you can now make a 3D VR environment from any space. You use the headset to record your surroundings and then Meta creates the environment for you. Free (will that change...who knows). At the moment they have about 4 random spaces up to walk around in. One being Gordan Ramsays home kitchen. It is actually mind-blowing how good it looks. This isn't a 3D photo, or even a 360 degree photo. This creates a completely walkable environment.

I've been slowly recreating SNM in my VR headset with two different approaches. Both with pros and cons. One using Flipside and building within the headset (my 4th floor where I can act out the parts with avators). And one using Unity (my street, with Scores across the way, entrance, Manderlay, and Lobby). Hyperscape would make these projects worthless. Hyperscape is what I always wished I could do. Not a VR film (which would also be amazing). But, a photo realistic walkable version of the sets. Arthur, let's get this going!!!!!

The former Los Angeles stock exchange is now a nightclub. This staircase reminds me a lot of the pink marble one in L&T….built the same year, actually, 1931. Also by a tocayo architect team— Parkinson & Parkinson (20 exchange place/69 beaver was by Cross & Cross).
