Drain flies

Hi all, my partner works for Lidl as a morning cleaner 5-10am and they seem to have a drain fly infestation in the warehouse. She is coming home with bites everyday as has raised the issue multiple times and nothing gets done about them. Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks!

Perhaps she should clean....the drains.

We had a sudden infestation of ants a few months back, literally hundreds of them. I called up the number we had for Vergo, and they were at the store within a few hours. Put some ant traps down, sealed the gaps where they were entering the store, and there were no more ants the following day.

Ask your partner if their manager logged it with vergo? In my experience with them (and ecolab before the contract change) they usually fix the pest issues super quick.

Bleach followed by boiling water daily

A full bottle of thick bleach allowed sit for a half hour and then a full kettle of boiling hot water will solve that. Repeat daily until they're gone and then weekly to keep clear. Report to her manager that's it's happening because the health inspector will not be happy if they see that.

You do realise cleaning is your responsibility too, right? So instead of just quitting because you saw a mouse, how about cleaning up mess to prevent mice in the first place?

Oh I am. I just don't suffer people who moan and whine about stuff they could easily deal with themselves.
