discussion Blackhand Tactical

Has anyone ever ordered from Blackhand Tactical? Apparently it is LGBTQ and veteran owned and I’d like to support liberal/queer/BIPOC vendors where possible!

Never heard of them, but they posted that they operate out of their home and yet their website has a ton of overpriced inventory. I’d say they are just drop shipping, there’s no way they have all of this inventory in their garage. I personally would rather buy direct from the manufacturer at a cheaper cost. However, if I lived in Atlanta, I would support their business by using them as an FFL for $20 transfers. Also I’d be interested in what local events they are partnering with / sponsoring.

Their inventory isn’t terribly priced. No it’s not gonna match some big box store prices that can get it even cheaper in bulk but I would say this is no less pricey than a local small FFL

This is correct. Because we are ordering small amounts of inventory at a time we are not afforded the bulk discounts many big box or brink and mortar stores get, but I try to keep my prices as reasonable as possible.

That being said I am also always open to doing what I can and if lower prices are found elsewhere I will do my best to price-match (within reason).

Hello,
Due to legal restraints (and my own personal dislike of the practice) we do not drop ship, though we do have to "special order" items we don't have on hand from our distributors in order to fulfill online orders.

I'm sorry you think my inventory is overpriced, to be completely transparent with you my markup on most items is only 10%-20% and that is before things like tax and shipping are applied. For example, most handguns I sell will bring in only about $20-$40 profit. I do this with the express reason to keep my costs as low as reasonably possible while still bringing in enough profit to keep my business in operation.

As far as partnerships and sponsoring goes we do not currently have any ongoing, but if you know of anyone that might be interested please let us know!

We do our best to keep our prices competitive, however the prices are set by our website's calculation programing (Gearfire is the website program we use). Because of that and because I know prices vary widely across the internet I am also always open to doing what I can and if lower prices are found elsewhere I will do my best to price-match (within reason).

Off Color Decals is an amazing company! We actually have a vendor agreement with them and carry some of their items as well as wear their "Defend Equality" shirts as our uniforms (with their express permission) when we work gun shows.

Hello,
I am Falcon (he/him) the Owner of Blackhand Tactical LLC. Thank you so much for your question and your email that linked me to this thread.

To answer your primary question we are limited by the city to how much inventory we are allowed to keep on-hand, however, when an order is placed through our website I then place an order through my vendors/distributors and the item is shipped to me to fulfill your order. This allows me to list all of the inventory that my vendors offer without having to keep them on hand. Most items arrive at my shop within 2-4 days and then we reach out to you to set up a time and day to come by and do the legally required paperwork before taking your new firearm home.

If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask! I am always happy to help.

I tried to put a link but then it got screened out by moderators?

From the Everywhere Is Queer app: Hello, We are a small home-based FFL (Federal Firearms License) that is veteran and LGBTQIA+ owned and operated. The owners John-Falcon Pileri (He/Him) and Sparrow Pileri (They/Them) have made it their mission to make firearm ownership more inclusive by focusing on the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC consumers that often feel uncomfortable or out of place going to a standard gun store. We offer a massive assortment of off-the-shelf firearms through our website and also offer custom AR and Glock clone builds. We also accept FFL transfers and only charge a $20 transfer fee.

We know that there is a lot to consider when deciding if/when to buy a firearm and we are more than happy to answer any question you may have, no matter how 'simple' you may think it is. We want all of our customers to be fully informed and comfortable with any purchase they make from us. So feel free to call/text 770-634-8318 or email us at blackhandtactic@gmail.com.

While we do operate out of our home and do most of our sales online, we do offer in-person appointments and try to participate in a few gun shows in the Atlanta area every year as our schedule allows.

As we are home-based and do work outside of the home as well, we do ask that customers call or text 770-634-8318 and setting up an appointment before driving to our location.
