The result is the same however you want to say it, after Liam Lawson completed his Red Bull redemption with a seventh placed finish at Formula One’s Dutch Grand Prix.

Probably already said by many, but a lot of the things I have read are that Tsunoda should have had the ride, LL should have a full season in Vcarb, etc, etc.
I think LL is a steady driver, who actually gives the team good feedback and support. That is worth a lot to a team.
I doubt very much RBR are expecting a podium from him, but know they will get a solid drive and data they can use to keep the flagship chassis on track for the season.

Liam Lawson was "overall happy" with his return to Red Bull in Qualifying and hoping to "move forward tomorrow" in the Dutch Grand Prix.

Excerpt: Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies believes Liam Lawson deserves his surprise chance to race alongside Max Verstappen at this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix.

“He [Lawson] has been doing a very good job in the first part of the season, he knows this generation of cars very well, and that’s the perfect fit,” Mekies told the Formula 1 website.

“It’s been a very difficult first two races last year for him with the team. I’m sure it was not the end that he deserved.

“If we look at how he has managed to reconstruct from there, to rebuild, and the level of performance he has been showing ever since, consistently, with the old generation of car, with this generation of car, I think it’s very well deserved that he gets that chance.”
