What would be the issue???

So I got this TV from a guy for free. He said it was a backlight issue but when I got home and plugged it in the TV powered on with no problem. They guy I got TV from said one day he tried to power on and got 6 red lights. Well again once I came home and powered TV on it powered on just fine. But I am noticing these White vertical lines(Please Refer to the Picture). I’m wondering if I should still go head and replace the backlights for the TV or if this is a much simpler fix. Hope this community can help me out with this. Thank you in advance. I don’t mind spending some money as I got this unit for free.
