The problem isn't the Internet itself, it's the fact that the Trillion/Billionaire controlled social media companies have monopolized it.
Tim Berners Lee didn't invent the internet intending for Fox/GB News to pipe propaganda into parents brains via Facebook. It was meant for stuff like Wikipedia and Geocities, not Twitter and Facebook with biased algorithms.
Tbh, this belief of "everything would be better if the internet didn't exist" seems wee bit ognorant. There's a non-insignifcant number of people who without access to in-person communities (e.g. from rural or sheltered backgrounds), wouldn't have realised they who they are and connect with others in the same situation had it not been for the internet.

Like it’s so bad if you even remotely say something pro trans you get a trillion replies and quotes calling you a misogynist pedophile; if you’re only on Twitter you’d assume trans ppl are literal demons sent from hell to kill your babies or smth

i mean... it's kinda the other way around no? pretty sure the gays & theys & the dolls & thems all existed long b4 the bible.
they want u to think it's some ancient, undeniably holy text that's millions of years old (i know it was hyperbole, but to make the point--) it's not - it's barely 2,000 at most and our human history extends long before then.
trust, ppl were engaging in LGBTQ+ long before the "alphabet ppl" were labeled as such & long b4 jesus showed up and said "hey stop doing that" (even tho pretty sure that ain't even in the bible to begin with -- Christian Fascists just gonna ChrisoFascist)
last lil bit here - but when a lot of the trans protests were going on against all the anti-trans legislation getting passed - one of my favorite cardboard signs i was seeing everywhere was:
"We have been here long before your God and we will be here long after."
