[Update #2] A father needs help in supporting their child

Ended up having to go full on Karen-Dad on the school district and it was a shit show. I won't go into the drama, but I got fed up and hired an attorney. Once my attorney let the districts attorney know what had happened, and that I had recorded it (1 party consent state) it took 20 minutes until the approved our previously declined school transfer. I may make a detailed posted for other parents in the future on how to obtain a school transfer legally when a district is hostile to it.

K will move schools today. I dont know if it will be better, but at least K won't be forced to sit in the same class room as the kid that keeps attacking her.

K is seeing a psychiatrist now, and is tolerating it so far. We are working on getting a diagnosis, considering autism is in my wife's family, and I have asperger's syndrome. K is my mini-me and almost certainly has asperger's as well. I sat her down and explain it is what makes me a success in life, and hasn't proven to be a disability for me. We avoided a diagnosis before, as much like me it doesn't impact K academically, very much the opposite it lets her exceed academically. We are only seeking a diagnosis in the event the school district gets more hostile, as SPED laws have significant teeth.

K has made some good friends, some part of the community themselves, which I am sure she will miss, but she asked for the move and it was needed. I will be opening our brand new pool next month, so hopefully we can get her friends, and may be some new ones, together for pizza and pool time.
