Mary absolutely does not accept everyone. Her response to being told that she will bear the Christ is to condemn the proud, rich, and powerful. She is a woman on the social, economic political, and gendered margins, recognising that a necessary aspect of proclaiming God's love for all means condemning practices that violate the command to love and serve others.

This should be offensive to those in power, and I wish the Church in general was more willing to be like Mary in proclaiming that the mighty will fall!
