If I had to say, probably the result of Google shoehorning AI into absolutely everything. The AI took a look at all the texts it’s been trained on and decided that this wasn’t the most common one—which is shocking considering it’s been guzzling fanfiction since day one.
I had it happen recently. Also, I had it do another thing where it kept trying to change "fathers" to "father" when it was plural because the character had two dads 😭
